Today I learned about making a job application letter. For grade 12 this material is important as a shadow for making a job application letter after graduation later. Especially for students who want to work immediately after graduation.

So, today I want to share how do you make an application letter? But before that, let's first understand what a job application letter is. Come on, study together!

Application Letter 

1.     Description

Cover letter or application letter is an official letter made by an individual addressed because it requires a job that is sent to an agency/company to find work. The letter provides the hiring manager with important information that describes your skills, passion, experience, and educational background.

3.     Structure

a.       Heading

Is the beginning of the letter or the head of the letter. This section consists of:

·         Application contact details, which contain name, address, telephone number and email.
·         Recipient contact information, which contains the name and position of the recipient, as well as the name and address of the company.
·         Date of writing the letter.

 

b.       Opening greetings

Contains opening greetings in formal language. Usually in this section we write the word 'Dear' which is then followed by the recipient's name and a comma (,).

 

c.       Introductory Paragraph

This section is the opening paragraph which contains an explanation that you are applying for a particular job or position at the company you are aiming for along with the reasons you are applying for that position. You can mention what made you interested in applying for the position.

 

d.       Highlighting Paragraphs

As the name implies, this section is the most important part, aka the highlight of your cover letter. This section is the core paragraph that contains the qualifications and special abilities you have which are of course related to the job you are applying for. For example, you are applying for the position of Programmer, well, you can explain how far your skills in programming are in this section.

 

e.       Closing Paragraphs

Closing Paragraph is a closing paragraph that contains a thank you to the company or recruiter for their consideration of the application you sent.

 
f.        Complementary Close

This section contains closing greetings. In this section you can explain that you hope to be able to discuss further about the job you are applying for through an interview with the recruiter.

 
g.       Signature 

Finally, you can close your letter with your signature and full name.

Since the first meeting, learning English was accompanied by Mrs. Lisa. The material discussed is about future job. Today, I will share what I get from future job materials:

C. What is my future job and why do I choose the job?

I want to work as an architect in the future. An architect works to plan and design a building design, an architect is a person who is highly trained in art and design and will generally play a key role in making a construction and be a leader for other workers. In the future, there will be many architectural services that will be needed to support many building constructions, infrastructure developments, city layout developments, and many more.

The reason why I want to be an architect is because I like to look at the model houses on the side of the road every time I pass them. In my heart I want when I grow up I can make my own home design. Besides that, I was also inspired by my older brother who is also an architect or something like that. He often gets jobs overseas. And one day he got a job in Korea, because I'm a K-popers, Korea is a country that I really want to visit. So I thought if I became an architect, maybe I could work while traveling abroad like him. So the first step I have taken to achieve my dream is that I majored in building design at a vocational high school.

Gimana kabarnya kalian semua? Lama tak jumpa. 

Hari ini aku membawakan sebuah cerita pertama di tahun ajaran baru ini. Yuk, ikut simak ceritanya!

 

        The new school year has started a few days ago. Mandatory activities carried out to welcome the start of a new school year, especially for new students, are called MPLS or known as the introduction to the school environment. During MPLS there are lots of activities carried out by students, such as morning assembly, playing games given by the OSIS committee, eating together, and many more. MPLS aims to introduce a new school environment, make new friends, as well as train the mentality to adapt in a new environment.

        As with schools in general, SMKN 4 Semarang also holds MPLS to welcome new students. MPLS at SMKN 4 Semarang ran smoothly, until on the last day of MPLS we presented several art performances as the closing. The art performance is called AKRESI or student creativity event. The activity featured various performances from each extracurricular. There were performances from extra traditional dances, silat martial arts, band performances, dances and drama from AMBALAN and PMR.

        As well as one more appearance that the most eagerly awaited, namely the appearance of extracurricular paskibra. Contains 15 members who appear, wearing green costumes that are neat and complete. The formations displayed also vary from the beginning to the end of the show. There is one person who gives directions, he stands at the front of the line. They are ready to present marching performances and combinations of variation movements and marching movements. They do it in a compact and every move looks firm. Paskibra's stunning appearance was able to make many people applaud. No wonder they can win many kinds of competitions. Paskibra can be a starting place for students who aspire to become police or military. They will be taught how to march, and train discipline. This can be a basic provision for students who wish to continue their education in the military field.

        AKRESI activities aim to hone student creativity, develop talents in students, as well as a place to promote extracurricular activities for new students. All the students and teachers enjoyed the event that took place. After this event is over, it is hoped that new students will be able to determine extracurricular activities that can accommodate and develop their interests and talents.

Understanding Questionnaires

1.            Definition of questionnaire

A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents about their attitudes, experiences, or opinions.

- To collect information for the preparation of permanent records. 

- To ensure the validity of information obtained by other methods. 

- To make an evaluation of the guidance program. 

- To sample the attitudes or opinions of respondents.

    4.     Expression and sentences used in questionnaire

·         Always and never options

As a rule, neither of these terms should be used in questionnaires; rarely do people always or never do anything. Instead use phrases such as “almost always” or “almost never”.

·       Background 

Breakfast is very important to do as a supply of energy to support the various activities that will be carried out. For students breakfast can affect the concentration of learning in class. 

    ·       Purpose and benefit

The purpose of this questionnaire is to find out the breakfast habits of students and how concerned they are about the importance of breakfast. 

    ·        Result obtained 

·         Conclusion

       Based on the survey that I have made, several things that can be concluded are:

a.   The average student has breakfast every morning.

b.   About 66,7% of students already know the benefits of having breakfast, but unfortunately there are still those who don't understand and some don't even understand the benefits of having breakfast.

c.   About 56,7% of students think breakfast has an effect on learning concentration while in class.

d.   They admit that breakfast can increase their enthusiasm for learning and improve their learning focus because they don't feel hungry during the lesson.

e.   Most students will feel hungry when they don't eat breakfast.

Understanding Surveys

1.      Definition of survey

Surveys are research methods used for collecting data from a predefined group of respondents to gain information and insights into various topics of interest.  

2.      Social function of survey

Survey are used to gather or gain knowledge in fields such as social research and demography. Survey research in often used to assess thoughts, opinions, and feelings.

4.      Expressions and sentences used in surveys

a.      Questionnaire

A research or survey tool consisting of a series of written questions, which aims to obtain responses from a selected group of people through personal interviews.

b.      Question

A group of written questions with a certain system that must be answered in writing as well.

c.      Statements

Ideas or thoughts to explain certain preferences or inclinations towards ideologies perspectives that are non-objective. Opinions are responses to stimuli organized through personal interpretation.

5.      Type of survey

Surveys can be divided into two broad categories: the questionnaire and the interview. Questionnaires are usually paper-and-pencil instruments that the respondent completes. Interviews are completed by the interviewer based on the respondent says.

6.      Doing survey

         a.        Background

In the midst of an increasingly fast development, it is very easy for various products from abroad to enter Indonesia. the community's response to the entry of these foreign products was very good, to the point that it was feared that it would make local products themselves less desirable. 

        b.         Purpose and benefit

The purpose of this survey was to find out the public's interest in local products and their deficiencies so that improvements can be made and it is hoped that local products will not be less competitive than foreign products. 

         c.        Result obtained

        d.        Conclusion

Foreign products that enter do not hinder people's interest in local products. People realize that it is very important to love local products. However, local products themselves still need to be improved in terms of quality, models, and ways of promotion so that local products are more developed. 

        e.         Result (Narration)

    This report was prepared based on the results of a survey that was conducted regarding public interest in local products. Globalization continues to encourage progress in various fields, not least in the economic field. Foreign products can easily enter Indonesian markets which are well received by the public. About 64.7% of people are interested in foreign products that have entered Indonesia. It is feared that local products will not be able to compete in the market because people's interest in foreign products is so high. However, in this survey around 70.6% of the people buy local products more often. What local products do they usually buy? About 44.7% of people answered food products, around 36.3% people answered fashion products, 11.0% people answered electronic products, and the rest answered others. In choosing a product, the thing that is most considered is the quality (44.1%), then the model (32.4%), the price (17.5%), and the rest. When asked about the quality of local products, many of them were satisfied (64.7%), around 14.7% felt dissatisfied, and around 20.6% felt unsatisfied. This certainly makes local products still require more attention to quality checking. In addition to quality issues that need attention, careful promotion is also needed so that local products can compete in the market.

Sebelumnya, apa yang kalian ketahui tentang tabel dan apa sih, fungsi tabel itu? Nah, di bawah ini kita akan membahas satu persatu mengenai apa itu tabel, fungsi tabel, contoh tabel, serta apa tujuan sebuah tabel itu dibuat. Yuk, simak bersama-sama!

1.        Definition of tables

A table is an arrangement of information or data, typically in rows and columns, or possibly in a more complex structure.

2.        Function of tables

Tables are used to organize data that is too detailed or complicated to be described adequately in the text, allowing the reader to quickly see the results.

From this table, the information are the youngest patient was 12 years old, and the oldest patient was 28 years old, most of the patients examined were 22 years old, there were three patients who were female and the rest were male.

The table tells us about the number of expenses for daily family living needs in one week.

RAB conclusion

LEARNING REFLECTION

Pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris kemarin, Bu Yuni memberikan materi tentang cara membuat portofolio serta manfaat portofolio untuk masa depan. Saya dapat menyimpulkan beberapa hal yang saya pelajari, sebagai berikut:

1. Dari materi yang telah diberikan, saya dapat mengetahui perbedaan antara penggunaan kata “I will” dengan kata “I want”. 
2.  Belajar melatih kepercayaan diri lewat Instagram dengan cara membuat akun yang nantinya akan digunakan untuk mengunggah materi-materi yang bermanfaat. 
3. Lewat Instagram yang sudah dibuat, saya dapat berlatih bertanggung jawab terhadap konten yang akan saya unggah nantinya. 
4. Media sosial yang saya pakai pertama kali untuk mengunggah/membuat portofolio adalah Instagram. Media sosial ini sudah sangat familiar bagi saya, namun kali ini dengan unggahan-unggahan yang berbeda dan tentunya saya harap bisa membawa manfaat bagi orang lain.
5. Materi yang sudah pernah saya ambil sebagai konten portofolio saya yaitu tentang resolusi diri di tahun 2023. 
6. Saya menggunakan aplikasi canva untuk membuat konten yang sudah pernah saya unggah, di sana saya bisa menuangkan imajinasi/ide-ide saya untuk membuat konten terlihat lebih menarik.
